Risingsun’s Lugols 2% Iodine 6mg solution does not exceed the DEA Regulation of Iodine Crystals and Chemical Mixtures Containing Over 2.2 Percent Iodine (see 21 CFR Parts 1309 and 1310).Risingsun Lugols 2% iodine 6mg solution contains 2% iodine and 12.7% potassium iodide for a combined 6mg of total iodine per drop. The iodine used in Risingsun Lugols iodine solutions is processed from iodide extracted from ancient underground brine mines located in the United States, Canada or South America. Iodide brine mining is the extraction of useful materials (elements, compounds) which are naturally dissolved in brine.
